Time is flying by!!!

Here is a picture of Banana Island in Luxor was incredible! We took a fulucca across the Nile and ate delicious fresh bananas! Oh and contrary to what Zein told us, there were no monkeys on Banana Island :(
Time is of the essence but this experience has been more than I could have imagined! So sad to leave!!!

Sunset on the Nile

I really like this photo because it shows the extreme contrast between the Nile and the desert! Egypt has lush green land but also the dry sandy desert!

They counted the number of women killed by the number of hands.

So, I had permission to upload this image from my Professor Zein he was saying something about censorship......anyways there was some battle and hundreds of thousands were slain and the Paraoh wanted to count how many men and how many women had been killed. Well, this is how they counted the number of men that had been killed. If you don't get it ask your fellow student or daughter that went to Egypt!

I believe that this WAS part of Ramses temple and "was completely destroyed." These were the famous words of our tour guide in Luxor! He must have said that everything "was completely destroyed, but restored!" This was one of the seven wonders of the world and I got to visit it!

This is the view of the sunrise from the top of mount sinai!! it was beautiful! I rode a camel up and some of the other girls hiked. I'm a bit sore, but it was definitely worth it. =] This is a moment none of us will ever forget.
